Following her undergraduate Fine Art degree Amanda-Sue Rope worked for a decade in digital interactive design and advertising before completing a Masters degree in Communication Design, specialising in Illustration, at Central Saint Martins. It was following her postgraduate degree and while she was working as a university lecturer and illustrator that Amanda-Sue was first introduced to ceramics, spurred on by a curiosity to create 3-dimensional surfaces on which to paint.

Below is a summary of past ceramic work. Included are some of Amanda-Sue’s drawings and paintings on paper to show the interchange of ideas and approaches that she applied to both her painting and ceramic practices.
